Week 1: Israel-Gaza and Ukraine Conflicts
Overview:
In the first week, students will begin exploring political issues by studying the Israel-Gaza conflict through various print and non-print multimedia. They will analyze how the conflict is portrayed from different points of view by considering connotations in language, the presentation of facts vs. opinions and how images contribute to the representation of an issue in the media.
