Immigration
Overview:
In week 2, students will begin identifying the central idea and summarizing an article to help build background on the topic at hand - immigration. Students will then continue to trace arguments in articles, but also evaluate the claims given. S will continue developing their understanding of point of view. They will examine and discuss 3 articles that address immigration, then use their understanding of the central idea and claims to evaluate and analyze the arguments, as well as discuss their own opinions about the immigration conflict.
