Unit 1, Week 5
Overview:
In week 5, students will continue exploring the ideas of point of view, choice and individualism/collectivism. Students will participate in an oral argument/debate, in which students in small groups argue the point of view based on the characters in the text. The goal is to strengthen their arguments with the ideas of others, as well as allow them to understand/identify evidence and counterclaims. Students will revise and edit their draft to the culminating writing prompt, then write the final draft.
